Video Surveillance in the transport zone of the tunnel

Throughout the transport area of the tunnel (more than 2 kilometers), TV cameras for traffic control were set in each direction of traffic flow. The location of cameras in the tunnel was designed in such a way as to ensure the continuous monitoring of a moving car along the entire length of the tunnel, eliminating the «dead» blind spots in places of road turn. The color IP cameras are used for transmission of video images over long distances. The video stream is transmitted in real time mode to the Situation Center of the central control room for monitoring of the situation in the transport zone of a tunnel and making operational decisions in standard situations. These include: the violation of speed, stopping in the tunnel, accident, etc. Also,the recognition of numbers is made to determine the stolen vehicles and those who deviates from justice.

TV monitoring of the situation in the technological areas

To receive timely operational information on emerging alarm situations, the technological area and facilities a re also equipped with the video surveillance system. These areas and facilities include emergency exits, entrances to the cable collector, escape routes, elevator halls, transformer substations, hardware rooms, storage areas, areas adjacent to the central control room. The total number of color IP cameras amounts to 259. The information from the camera is also monitored in the Situation Center of the central control room.

Video recording

All information provided by video cameras, is formed in the video streams and by means of fiber-optic cable is transmitted to the server. Video data is recorded and stored digitally on the video servers. The recording speed of each video camera - 25 frames per second. The depth of video archiving is 2 weeks.
